Yes. We specialise in CVT repairs and offer fixed-price services for most common vehicles. This ensures transparency and no unexpected costs.
In many cases, we can tailor the repair to fit within your policy limit, so you would only need to pay the excess.
Most repairs range from $3,200 to $5,900 NZD including GST. This covers removal, repair, and refitting. Vehicle pick-up is available in the North Island at an extra cost. Some cars have special conditions that apply.
Yes. Some CVT transmissions have internal filters, some have external filters, and some have both. These should be replaced as part of regular servicing.
CVTs are reliable when properly maintained. Regular servicing and using the correct fluid are key to long-term performance. See our warning page for details.
Light towing is generally fine. If you tow heavier loads regularly, such as a boat or caravan, we recommend fitting an additional oil cooler to protect the transmission.
Always use the CVT fluid recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer or supplied by CVT NZ 2010 Ltd. Avoid aftermarket oils, as they often do not meet the required specifications.
Note: The Nissan Skyline GT350 with an Extroid CVT must only use Nissan KTF Fluid (part #KLE51-00004).
