Hybrid Systems Front Wheel Drive
  • Based on CVTs developed as an "environment friendly system"
  • With "comfortable and powerful driving" in mind this new CVT has a built-in drive motor for hybrid cars
  • Uses electromagnetic clutch and electric oil pump, aiming for further fuel efficiency.

Rear Wheel Drive Vehicles Rear Wheel Drive (not yet available in NZ)
  • Compact - almost the same size as a conventional automatic transmission.
  • No starting clutch or torque converter due to planetary gear.
  • Only one motor is adopted and the size of the motor is smaller because of a lever ratio of the planetary gear.
  • Good performance - fuel economy is improved by about 35% in comparison with conventional automatic transmissions.
  • Good acceleration (Power booster)
